The summer festivities have begun and I’m so ecstatic! Summer is my favorite season for many reasons — sunny weather, flowers, sundresses, beaches, ice cream, and my birthday (Leo, baby!). We kicked things off today with a food festival at the charming Olde Mistick Village. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere there was awesome! We ate delicious Thai food from a restaurant called Thai Jasmine — which I forgot to take photos of because I was too hungry and too busy stuffing my face — while we listened to a live band that played great music. We grabbed some ice cream afterwards and did some browsing/shopping at the various shops and boutiques around the village. I bought a super cute pink Mystic t-shirt to commemorate the experience; I’m starting a t-shirt collection for the places that I visit, so it was perfect!
We didn’t have to try hard to find cute nooks to take photos since photo ops were everywhere! The vintage vibe of the village, combined with the gorgeous vibrant decorations that were meticulously positioned throughout was truly heaven for me — I was so in love! I wish I took more photos of the surroundings to show you how adorable this place was!
I spotted this little cranny that was adorned with bright hot air balloon decor and was instantly smitten!
All of the shops had a rustic appeal like this one . . .
This yellow and turquoise building was my favorite! It gave off a dollhouse feel, don’t you think?
There were so many charming areas everywhere that we turned, like this little wooden garden arbor that was garnished with climbing ivory leaves.
At the top of these pretty red painted stairs was an adorable faux town hall sitting area — this spot was easily missable, but it didn’t escape my eyes.
. . . A candid shot of me fixing my hair in front of the water wheel mill replica. There were ducks walking around all over the place and the children (and adults) found them quite amusing. 🙂
This place stole my heart. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!
My beautiful maxi dress is from AMI Clubwear, if you’re wondering.
Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂
