Eco-Friendly Spring Beauty feat. Jane Iredale

Jane Iredale

In celebration of Earth Month, I want to share with you these beautiful eco-friendly makeup products from Jane Iredale that I’ve been using the last few weeks. I love Jane Iredale’s products and truly appreciate the brand’s continuous efforts in producing natural and clean products that are good for the skin as they are beautiful to wear.

The Soft Kiss PurePressed Eyeshadow Triple ($30.00) contains three eye colors in a shimmery smokey brown, a shimmery deep purple with lavender glitters, and a matte warm mauve. These eyeshadows go very will with one another to create a lovely earthy spring look. They apply on smoothly, easily, and evenly, and blend like a dream. I have no complaints about the formula or performance of these colors — they’re pigmented and have great lasting power, and are a pleasure to work with.

The Peaches & Cream Bronzer Refill ($44.00) is made up of four complementary shades and has a warm peachy pink medley. It consists of a shimmery light peach, a shimmery baby pink, a shimmery terracotta, and a satin rusty orange. These colors are highly pigmented and give a smooth, effortless application with minimal fall-outs. I’m incredibly in love with all of these colors and the formula is just perfection! All of the shades are so beautiful and wear well on the skin to provide a lovely, natural looking glow. You can customize the effect that you want with these shades — concentrate the brush on the top of the pan for a gorgeous glow, dip into the bottom colors for a soft sunkissed warmth, or swirled the colors together for a healthy looking, radiant finish. I like to use this either as a blush or a bronzer topper since the colors have too much of a shimmery finish to be used as an actual bronzer.

All of Jane Iredale’s pressed powders only come in a refill form, so the refillable compact has to be purchased separately. Once you have the compact, you will only need to purchase the refills to place inside of it. This allows for a greener change and promotes sustainability — this way, you don’t have to purchase a compact every time. I already have the compact with one of the other bronzer shades, so I can just switch out the refills — recycle, baby!

The Midnight Blue Eyeliner Pencil ($15.00) is a shimmery dark blue with an ultra creamy and lightweight consistency that glides onto the eyes readily with no tugging or pulling. It has great pigmentation and color payoff, and when worn on top of a setting powder or an eyeshadow, it lasts all day long with no smudging. I love the soft texture and workability of this pencil and greatly appreciate that it applies on smoothly.

For my makeup look, I kept it very simple — I have the Soft Kiss PurePressed Eyeshadow Triple on my eyes with the Midnight Blue Eyeliner Pencil on the upper and lower lash lines, and the Peaches & Cream Bronzer on my cheeks.
