Back in January, I introduced you all to Flirt Cosmetics and raved about their stunning metallic eyeshadow palette and awesome liquid lipsticks (read here), and how desperately I wanted to get more of their lip colors, well, my prayers have been answered! I was surprised with the entire new collection of LookAtMyLips Matte Liquid Lipsticks ($18.00 each for 4 ml) from the company! I’m so incredibly happy and thankful! 🙂
The LookAtMyLips Matte Liquid Lipsticks currently come in six shades with three neutral colors and three bold colors. The highly pigmented formulation is consistent throughout the entire collection with every shade giving a full color coverage that applies on smoothly and evenly, while also being budge-proof and transfer-proof. These colors feel very lightweight, don’t look cakey, and are effortless to work with. I love the vibrant payoff and long lasting formula, but they are a bit drying — they’re not super uncomfortable and they don’t accentuate lip lines, but just make sure to prep and moisturize lips prior to application to ensure a more comfortable wear. I like to apply a light layer of lip balm to moisturize my lips before I put any type of liquid lipstick to help with the drying sensation (this doesn’t take away from the matte effect and allows me to enjoy the formula). Another thing to keep in mind when applying a liquid lipstick is to avoid pressing your lips together as this will disturb the drying process and create streakiness or patchiness. Overall, I adore these colors and really enjoying wearing them — I look forward to seeing more shades added to the line.
