I’m excited to share my review of the GrandeLIPS Nude Collection from Grande Cosmetics with you all today! I was unfamiliar with this brand until their PR team reached out to me and kindly sent over all six shades from their new collection to me. If you’re a long time reader of mine, then you know how much I love lip products and discovering new brands, so I was thrilled to try out these lip plumpers. I naturally have full lips already and certainly don’t need to use plumping products, but it’s fun to test them out and see what happens.
The GrandeLIPS Hydrating Lip Plumpers ($27.00 each for 2.48 ml) claim to “instantly plump lips in just 3-5 minutes, while adding a splash of color.” The clinically proven formula contains:
- Volulip – an active substance that instantly improves lip volume, texture, and shape
- Caffeine – helps reduce appearance of fine lines
- Niacin (Vitamin B3) – contains anti-aging properties to improve elasticity and reduce wrinkles
- Hyaluronic Acid – keeps lips plump and hydrated
- Vanilla – delivers a hint of sweetness to lips
- No Parabens
These lip plumpers are incredibly moisturizing and majority of the colors have a good color payoff to give lips a luscious coloration (only Cashmere Buff has a truly sheer finish). Right after application, I did feel my lips tingling and the feeling disappeared after a few minutes to reveal a cool and refreshing sensation that I really enjoyed. I didn’t notice any difference with my lips right afterwards, but by the time I swatched all six lip colors on my lips, I did see some plumpness to my lips. The effect is very subtle, so if you think these lip plumpers will magically enhance your lips from 0-10, then you’ll definitely be disappointed as they won’t give you instant or dramatic results. However, for best results, it is recommended that the product is used twice daily, or as often as desired, and after thirty days, there will be an overall increase in plumpness, hydration, softness, and firmness. I haven’t used this product for that long to confirm the claims, but my lips certainly felt softer and smoother after using this lip plumper for just one day. I think they’re a great boost of hydration and the ultra glossy finish and color range is lovely, but they’ll require commitment to actually see some results, if any.
These lip plumpers can be worn on their own with wear time of two to three hours, or paired with other lip products for an extra lush and glossy pout.
While the gold packaging looks beautiful, the design isn’t very user friendly, in my opinion. Once the product has been taken out of its original uni-carton, it has no shade name on the tube, so you’ll need to create your own label with the name of the lip color or else you won’t know what color it is that you’re wearing. Also, after the first initial application, be careful not to click the button at the bottom or the product will gush out at the top, which can be messy and wasteful.
I cut out my own labels and wrote down the shade names of the colors, and put the labels on top of the caps in order to differentiate all the colors from one another since the packaging doesn’t have the shade names on them.
I was quite surprised when I saw the cushion applicator for the first time because it’s so unique and non-traditional to the typical doe-foot applicator that most lip products have. I’m indifferent about it — it applies the product on fine and is easy to clean.
