I’ve been playing around with this beautiful lash kit from Mix & Stack Lashes the past few days and wanted to share the results with you. I discovered this brand on Instagram and was very intrigued by their lash kit, and they kindly sent me one to try out!
The lash kit, a perfectly coordinated plastic container with two snap closures in the front, contains forty pairs of lashes in four different styles and a black latex lash adhesive and applicator.
The container is simple and elegant, while being lightweight and durable; it holds the lashes neatly and securely inside with the glue and applicator sitting perfectly in the center. The synthetic lashes are broken up by styles — Dame on the upper left, Lavish on the upper right, Rose on the bottom left, and Blush on the bottom right.
There’s also an empty compartment at the bottom center of the container where I like to put my used (and clean) lashes in to keep them separate from the unused ones.
The lashes are all very subtle and natural looking, and are meant to be worn alone or — like the name suggests — mix and stack to create a custom finish. Whether it’s a subtle look or a voluminous finish, any desired result can easily be achieved with these lashes as they’re effortless to apply and are ultra comfy on. I’ve worn these lashes a few times already and they’re incredibly comfortable and super lightweight; even when I stacked on three pairs, there was no discomfort or heaviness, which is amazing! The synthetic fibers are also very easy to clean and care for, so with proper maintenance, these lashes will last a very long time. Now, let’s get into the numbers — the kit retails for $45.00 and if you divide that by 40 — each pair costs only $1.12 and that’s not including the container and lash adhesive! I think that’s a pretty great deal!
I really love the concept of this lash kit and think it’s so fun and unique, perfect for a lash addict like me or a makeup artist. This kit has everything you need to complete an eye look and the possibilities are endless with these lashes. Also, once these lashes run out, you can refill the container with any lashes of your choice, so your lashes will have a safe place to live and you don’t have to worry about ever losing them again — it’s a win-win! 🙂
The black latex glue is like superglue for the lashes — it dries quickly and stays put all day long!
Dame has the shortest length out of the four styles and will add a subtle definition to natural lashes for a hint of volume and length; they’re great on the lower lash line as well!
Lavish has a subtle criss-cross design and gives a very natural looking lengthening effect; it’s the darkest pair in the kit and will give a voluminous appeal when they’re stacked together or with the other styles.
Rose is soft and light with lots of length to give a fluttery and feminine effect to natural lashes.
Blush is my favorite style in the kit; it has an intense criss-cross pattern with short, medium, and long lashes that create a flirty result; I like to stack two pairs together for more definition.
I wore these lashes in two makeup looks, so you can see their versatility.
In this first look, I stacked on two pairs of Blush and then wore Dame on the lower lash line.
Since this second look is quite dramatic, I needed my lashes to have lots of volume to match the intensity of the look, so I stacked on Blush, Lavish, and Dame; even with three pairs on top of one another, these lashes were incredibly comfortable and weightless (and natural looking!).
