One of the reasons why I and millions of other makeup lovers adore Morphe is because they create amazing quality products with incredible affordability! Even if I wasn’t on the brand’s PR list, I would still invest in their blending brushes and eyeshadow palettes. The newest addition to my makeup family is the 35R Eyeshadow Palette, a thirty-five pan palette that contains a lovely mixture of matte and shimmer shades with both warm and cool undertones.
This gold-toned palette is being heavily promoted on social media right now and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be very popular like the famed 35O palette. If you own any of Morphe’s palettes, then you’re quite familiar with the quality and formula as this palette has the same formulation like any other palette from the brand.
The 35R Eyeshadow Palette is structured with four columns of matte shades on the left (with two colors having subtle shimmers) and three columns of intense shimmer shades on the right. Some of the matte colors had difficulty showing up on my arm when I was doing finger swatches, but I never base quality off of swatches because colors often times perform differently once they’re applied onto the eyes, which is the deal with these matte eyeshadows. Although these matte colors needed layering to achieve a deep coloration on my arm, they applied onto my eyes beautifully and were extremely easy to blend and build — no patchiness, unevenness, and they had great color payoff. The shimmer colors in this palette left no room for complaints because they’re simply incredible! Every shade needed only one swipe on my arm to reveal an intense vibrancy and the quality transferred over onto the eyes, giving a rich and vivid coloration that applied on smoothly and evenly. I truly love how workable these eyeshadows are and the array of colors in this palette is just stunning; the warm to cool ratio is perfect and you have every gold shade that you’ll ever need with a matte creamy beige for blending, a gorgeous champagne gold for highlighting, and plenty of neutral shades in between to create endless makeup looks.
Here are the swatches — no primer was used.
Yassss! Come through gold eyeshadow! I’m in love with this gold half cut-crease look that I created with the 35R palette. I used a mixture of the matte shades on the crease and lower lash line with the brightest yellow gold color from the palette on the lid and the shimmery champagne gold color on the inner corner.
This palette is absolutely beautiful and perfect for anyone who loves gold tones. My heart, however, still belongs to the 35O — it’s my all-time favorite palette from Morphe (the rusty orange tones give me life!).
