If you haven’t tried Sleek Makeup’s new Lip Star Lipsticks, I highly suggest going over to the Target website after reading this review and ordering some right away because they’re freaking amazing and insanely affordable! Being a (self-proclaimed) lipstick connoisseur, I’m constantly trying new lipsticks and own hundreds of them in my collection, so I know a good lipstick when I see one. To say that I’m in love with these lip colors would be an understatement. I’m utterly obsessed and need the entire collection!
The Lip Star Lipsticks ($6.49 each) come in thirteen shades that range from a peachy nude to a deep burgundy plum. I have three colors from the collection: Private Booth (warm nude), Hot Tottie (vibrant pink), and Workaholic (true red).
These lipsticks have a basic plastic packaging that is simple, yet sturdy, with a transparent bottom that showcases the lip color within; each lipstick also has a label of the shade name on top of the cap, so whether you store them upright or upside down, you’ll always know which shade is which. The lip colors are formulated with shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E, and have a moisturizing semi-matte finish — they’re very creamy, contain no shimmers, and have a hydrating shine that provides maximum comfort. I love the conditioning formula, which feels heavenly on my lips, and the impressive full color coverage with extreme intensity that made me go “WOW!” when I applied it on for the first time. They give a smooth and effortless application, are super comfortable, and will last six hours with minimal eating or drinking. If you want more bang for your buck, you will definitely love these lipsticks — the high-performing formulation delivers an opaque finish that is non-drying and enjoyable to wear, and for the price, you just can’t beat it!
Private Booth is a warm nude with a peachy undertone.
Hot Tottie is a vibrant dark pink.
Workaholic is a classic bright red.
