I was surprised with a lovely package from Palladio Beauty a few weeks ago that included some of their new releases. The more that I try their products, the more that I fall in love with their brand — great quality with great prices! So far, I’ve only tested out their lip creams and those are bomb, so I was super excited to play with these new goodies.
I was very happy to see the Brow Definer Micro Pencils ($7.00 each for 0.045 g) in my package because I’ve been wanting to try these! I love brow pencils that have an ultra fine tip like these because it allows for a precise application with minimal effort. I’m thankful for the convenient retractable design, which makes these pencils travel-friendly and I love that they’re dual-ended with a small (perfectly sized) spoolie attached to the other end of the pencil for easy use. These pencils are very smooth and pigmented, and blend effortlessly. They’re great for filling in sparse areas and perfect for doing feather-like strokes to give a natural looking finish. I have nothing bad to say about these pencils — they’re functional, workable, and long lasting.
I have these pencils in the shades Ash Brown and Black Brown; I use Black Brown, which is the darkest shade in the collection of four and pairs perfectly with my black hair.
The Brow Obsessed Mousses ($8.00 each for 4 ml) come in two natural shades (Light/Medium and Medium/Dark) and have a lightweight mousse texture that contain tiny fibers to easily fill in gaps and sparse areas. I don’t think I’ve ever used a brow mousse before, so I was a bit hesitant at first, but I wore the dark shade the other day and was amazed at how easy and beautiful my brows looked! The formula is ultra weightless with the perfect amount of pigmentation that doesn’t go on too harsh and can easily be built up to achieve a custom effect. The product dries down in a few seconds to a budge-proof matte finish and can be worn on its own or used as a brow gel. The spoolie brush, which I’m quite obsessed with, is very small and deposits and blends the product effortlessly and quickly onto the brows. I just love the size and tapered shape of this brush — it’s so tiny and cute, but effectively gets the job done!
I really love these brow mousses and think they’re perfect for days when I don’t want to spend a long time on my brows — I can just brush this mousse on and be done with my brows in five minutes! They’re so easy to use and give such a natural finish!
Lastly, I also got two of the I’m Glowing Creamy Stick Luminizers ($8.00 each for 6 g) in the shades Stunner and Limelight. These creamy, light-reflecting highlighters have a silky texture with a soft pigmentation that gives a subtle, glow-from-within finish. The result is very natural, so if you’re looking for an intense, blinding highlight, then you won’t probably like these. I don’t mind their subtlety since I find it quite beautiful and ethereal. Both of these highlighters applied beautifully onto the skin and didn’t disintegrate my base makeup, which I highly appreciate because cream highlighters usually don’t work well on top of powder and these had no issues layering on top of my foundation and setting powder. They blended very nicely and smoothly, and were overall, easy to work with. The radiance lasted well during the couple of hours that I wore the highlighter and it didn’t accentuate any texture on my skin, which I love!
Stunner is a peach champagne with a silvery sheen; it gives a noticeable, but natural looking glow.
Limelight is a light pink with microscopic shimmers; it has an ultra soft luster with a barely there radiance.
In the left photo, I’m wearing Limelight; in the right photo, I’m wearing Stunner.
