These new Prismatic Pop Illuminating Powders ($12.00 each for 5.1 g) from Pop Beauty landed on my doorsteps a few weeks ago and I haven’t stopped obsessing over them! If you want a bomb AF glow that doesn’t break the bank, you’re going to love these highlighters! There are four shades in total — I was sent all four, but the darkest shade broke to pieces during delivery, so I’ll be sharing only three with you.
I live for a blinding glow and am not a fan of subtlety when it comes to my highlighters, therefore, I tend to be infatuated with products that bring on the shimmer and shine, and in this case, these powders caught me completely off guard and shook me to my core!
The powders are packaged in a fairly basic plastic compact with a typical black casing and transparent lid, and also have an embossed design to them that’s quite pretty. There’s a ton of product in each compact, so for the affordable price point, you’re getting a hefty amount that’s surely going to last a very long time.
The ultra lightweight and silky smooth texture of these highlighters feel incredibly amazing; they’re super soft and finely milled, and are infused with beautiful shimmery particles that illuminate upon contact to give skin a non-glittery and multifaceted, ethereal radiance. They apply on beautifully and effortlessly with minimal fall-outs, and are richly pigmented. I always prefer a highlight that’s packed with pigment than one that lacks it because you can easily adjust the pressure to achieve the desired glow rather than having to put in extra work with a faint product that requires multiple layers for some visibility. I love the versatility and workability of these powders — they’re enjoyable to use and wear, and performs true to their claims of being prismatic, seamless, and light-reflecting.
A gentle swipe of the powder will create a delicate dewy glow and for a more glaring luminosity, just generously apply two layers and that’ll give you the ultimate blinding finish.
Celestial Light is an icy pink with a silvery sheen (my favorite!).
Glided Light is a lightened gold.
Lunar Light is a rose gold.
In the photos below, I’m wearing the Celestial Light highlighter on my tear ducts, cheekbones, nose tip, and above my brows. I got carried away during application and just wanted to sweep this powder everywhere — I’m so in love with it!
(I received these products complimentary of Pop Beauty. The opinions are 100% my own.)
