If you’re a fan of the ’90s TV show, Saved By The Bell, then you’re going to feel some major nostalgia when you see this limited edition makeup collab that Sola Look is launching today! Inspired by the show’s leading ladies, the Saved By The Bell Metallic Liquid Lipstick Trio ($40.00) includes three shades: Jessie (copper), Kelly (warm coral pink), and Lisa (deep plum).
The aesthetic of the packaging is super cute and really complements the SBTB theme with the vibrant colors and fun doodles. These liquid lipsticks are very pigmented and lightweight, and have a wet consistency that dries quickly to a smudge-proof, velvet matte finish. They apply on smoothly and evenly, and layer nicely without any difficulty. Although I don’t wear metallic lipsticks often, I really enjoy the comfortable formula of these lip colors — they didn’t feel drying or uncomfortable throughout the few hours that I wore them, and I love that! As with any liquid lipstick, longevity varies depending on eating or drinking — with minimal eating, these colors lasted five to six hours on me with gradually fading. It’s also recommended that for best results, lips are exfoliated and prepped with a moisturizer before application.
I’ve seen swatches of the three shades on Sola Look’s Instagram and they definitely look different on every skin tone! On me, these lipsticks appear a lot deeper compared to the swatch photos on the brand’s website.
Jessie is a dark copper.
Kelly is a warm coral pink.
Lisa is a deep plum; this is my favorite shade out of the three!

Are you excited about this launch? I never followed this show growing up, but I love the idea of bringing the past back into the present, especially in the form of makeup products! Now, if this was Boy Meets World, I would have a heart attack!! I reached out to Sola Look on Instagram in regards to a possible Boy Meets World collaboration in the future and they said that they tried, but didn’t get approval from the show’s network! NOOO!!! That would have been so freakin’ amazing!
