Have you ever wanted to try a nude lipstick, but were unsure which shade you should get and what would complement your complexion best? Well, today, I have a solution that will rid you of these concerns!
I’d like to introduce you to Canadian beauty brand, TON Cosmetics, who carries a specially curated nude lipstick collection that includes nine different variations with an effortless color matching system that assists you in finding your perfect nude lip color! To figure out which shade suits your skin tone best, all you have to do is answer a simple questionnaire to determine your complexion and undertone. Of course, you are not limited to just one choice — you can always browse the collection and see which other shades fit your personal preferences more.
I took the test and was very pleased with my result — keep reading find out which shade I got matched with!
The lipsticks ($15.50 each) come in a sleek and elegant white and silver packaging with a crystal detailing on the top of the cap that I thought was very pretty; the design is clean, minimal, and sturdy — no complaints here! The nine lip colors varied between a matte and cream finish with two of the colors containing fine shimmers that were undetectable on the lips; they’re also formulated with shea butter and vitamin E, and are paraben-free.
There’s a great variety of colors in this lineup with basic neutrals that I find extremely wearable and flattering. All of these colors were very hydrating and comfortable to wear with majority having a pigmented payoff and a four hour wear time; the two shimmer infused shades had a sheerer finish and weren’t as adherent or long wearing as the rest of the colors. The formula is definitely a win for me — it’s non-drying, lush, and pigmented. With that said, I am in love with all of these lip colors and would wear every single one of them! I’ve always felt lucky that I’m able to pull off various lip shades regardless of my skin tone and I will definitely be grabbing for these colors when I’m in need of a good nude.
I mentioned earlier in the post that I took the color test and my result was Fair Warm 1. I think this is a wonderful match as this warm peachy nude complements me nicely since I have a fair complexion with a warm undertone. I’m also a huge fan of Fair Cool 1 and Medium Warm 1.
Fair Neutral 1 is a pale nude beige with fine golden shimmers; it has a slippery texture with a semi-sheer finish.
Fair Warm 1 is a peachy nude with a warm undertone; it applied on smoothly and has full coverage.
Fair Cool 1 is a light salmon with a matte finish; it looks more warm than cool against my skin tone.
Medium Neutral 1 is a creamy pinky beige with a high-shine finish; it has a slippery texture and is very moisturizing.
Medium Warm 1 is a soft nude pink with a matte finish; it’s my definition of a perfect nude.
Medium Cool 1 is a sheer light pink with fine golden shimmers that are imperceptible; it’s moisture-rich, but does slide around a lot.
Dark Neutral 1 is a matte warm brown with a yellow undertone; I love the richness and intense coloration of this shade.
Dark Warm 1 is a pinkish terracotta with a matte finish; it applied on evenly and has great color payoff.
Dark Cool 1 is a darkened pinky rose with a matte finish; it’s highly pigmented and non-drying.
