I was casually scrolling through the makeup isles at my local Walmart store this past weekend and caught a glimpse of the Wet n Wild display, then immediately wanted to scream with joy because I saw that these was one MegaGlo Highlighting Powder left! If you’re an Instagram junkie like I am, then you probably saw the hype that surrounded these highlighters — they’re super raved about for their quality and affordability, and are almost impossible to find! I really wanted to get the Precious Petals shade, which was sold out, but couldn’t pass up Crown of My Canopy since it was the only one left. I also grabbed a few MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks as well since I’ve been wanting to try those out, and let me tell you right now, these matte lipsticks are so freaking bomb!
The MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks ($4.99 each for 6 g) come in thirteen shades and have a very soft and lightweight mousse-like texture that dries down after a few seconds to give a transfer-proof, non-drying matte finish. They applied on a bit thin, but nothing a little layering can’t fix; these colors built-up really nicely and didn’t look cakey or patchy, which is lovely. After two coats, the pigmentation is superb! I was so shocked by how comfortable these liquid lipsticks felt — it was like I wasn’t even wearing a matte lip color! The finish was so smooth and weightless, and super long lasting. They didn’t accentuate my lip lines and stuck on like glue — the colors only came off at the end of the day when I removed them with a makeup remover wipe.
I’ve never believed that quality has to cost an arm and a leg, and these liquid lipsticks just reassured me that price doesn’t have to sacrifice quality. I don’t know how Wet n Wild did it, but the formula of these lipsticks are incredibly! They’re pigmented, supple without being drying, and are ultra long wearing! The final verdict — these lip colors are amazing and if you don’t own any yet, then go and get some! I’m thinking of buying the entire collection because I’m that obsessed!
920B Nudie Patootie is a beige nude with a cool undertone.
923B Pink Really Hard is a medium pink.
924B Rebel Rose is a rosy mauve.
The Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder ($4.99) is a bronzy gold with ultra fine lavender and gold shimmers, and is one out of the two limited edition shades that Wet n Wild released a couple months ago. This highlighter is finely milled and has a velvety smooth texture that glides delicately onto the skin to provide a customizable glow (sweep it on gently for a natural looking luster or layer it for more intensity). I was a little afraid that this shade would be too dark on my fair skin tone, which it kind of is, so I like to apply it right above my bronzer for an added touch of warmth and radiance and it works out perfectly (it’s like a blush/highlighter). I really love this formula — the color payoff is beautiful and the texture is very blend-able and build-able. You’re definitely getting a bang for your buck with this product.
