I haven’t been this excited about a new makeup collection in months and I’m beyond ecstatic to share with you the beautiful Volcano Goddess Collection from Becca Cosmetics, inspired by unearthed gemstones and molten lava. This collection includes a brand new, limited edition 12-pan eyeshadow palette, three ultra dazzling lip glosses, and a new gold pressed highlighter.
I couldn’t stop swooning over how stunning everything looked from the PR presentation to the product packaging to the color selections — absolutely in love!
The Volcano Goddess Eye Palette ($46.00) has a sleek black packaging with a stunningly colorful molten design on the cover that I find incredibly alluring and very fitting with the theme of the collection. First impressions matter and the brand nailed it with this one!
This limited edition palette contains twelve eyeshadows in three finishes: (3) matte, (5) shimmer, and (4) metallic. The array of neutral and bold shades with the versatile mix of texture makes this palette a stand-out from the brand’s previous palettes in terms of color selection, variety, and versatility. It’s definitely different from what we’ve been seeing from Becca Cosmetics, but it’s a good change and I’m here for it!
The three matte shades (Cloud, Volcanic Sand, Granite) have an ultra soft and creamy consistency with great pigmentation, payoff, and workability. I can’t get over how amazing these colors feel and apply; they swatch beautifully and perform just as impressively on the eyes with no difficulties. I think Becca Cosmetics should consider making an all-matte palette with this formulation because it’s so freaking good!
The five shimmer colors (Haze, Red Rock, Agate Ash, Crater, Hematite) have a consistently beautiful and rich pigmentation with a delightfully smooth texture. Similar to the matte eyeshadows, these shimmery colors are also very easy to work, applying on readily with great blend-ability, and have wonderful longevity.
The four metallic eyeshadows (Gilded, Diamond Dust, Lava, Midnight Sapphire) have a foil-like texture that give an intense glimmering finish. These colors can be quite tricky to use if you’re not familiar with this type of texture. For me, I had to be patient when working with these shades in order to achieve the high-impact color payoff that I wanted. They’re best applied with a (wet) flat synthetic brush or with your fingers, which helps with the adhesion and vibrancy. I was mesmerized by these colors once I applied them onto my eyes — the effect that they give is unbelievably stunning!
Overall, this palette has great quality and is super versatile and fun to wear! The blend of warm and cool tones with the mixture of finishes allow for a variety of looks, whether subtle or dramatic, making this palette very well-rounded. I also had no issues with fall-outs or creasing when I wore these eyeshadows — the formulations are truly superb. Do I recommend getting this palette — heck yes!
This palette contains the shades:

The Gold Lava Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter ($38.00 for 7 g) is a brand new yellow gold shade with beautiful light pink shimmers. This universally flattering highlighter complements all skin tones, giving a gorgeous golden glow that’s smooth and build-able for a soft sheen or high-impact luminosity. The shimmer infused powder glides onto the skin, doesn’t look glittery, and provides a natural radiance that’s ethereal. It’s beautiful to look at and also to wear!
The Volcano Goddess Glow Glosses ($22.00 each for 5 g) come in three beautiful, shimmering shades: Metamorphic Gold (soft gold), Molten Mauve (cool-toned mauve), and Ruby Fire (crimson).
These glosses are infused with vitamins C and E, and hydrating shea butter to soften and nourish lips. They contain ultra fine shimmers that aren’t glittery or gritty, and have a non-sticky formula that’s very comfortable and enjoyable to wear. There’s a cooling, minty scent from the plumping ingredients — I really like the smell, but didn’t notice any plumpness to my lips (which is fine since I have naturally full lips already). The high-shine finish is so beautiful and looks lovely on bare lips; of course, these glosses make great toppers as well when paired with other lip products for a more dazzling finish. Longevity wise, I got only a few hours of wear out of these glosses before they needed reapplication — I didn’t mind it though since the top-notch, moisturizing formula gives me a luscious pout without the mess and stickiness.
Metamorphic Gold is a soft gold with pink shimmers (sheer).
Molten Mauve is a cool-toned mauve with iridescent shimmers (opaque).
Ruby Fire is a crimson with gold and pink shimmers (opaque).
Here is the makeup look that I created with these products.
On my eyes, I wore seven out of the twelve eyeshadows from the Volcano Goddess Eye Palette. My camera definitely didn’t capture the true beauty of these colors — they’re so much more vibrant and stunning in person!
- Granite – Crease
- Volcanic Sand – Crease / Blending
- Red Rock – Crease / Lower Lash Line
- Midnight Sapphire – Inner & Outer Lid / Lower Lash Line
- Gilded – Center Lid / Center Lower Lash Line
- Lava – Inner & Outer Lid
- Diamond Dust – Brow Bone / Tear Duct
For my lips, I wore the Molten Mauve and Metamorphic Gold Volcano Goddess Glow Glosses on my bare lips.
I used the gorgeous Gold Lava Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter to highlight my cheekbones and nose tip for a golden glow.
