Fall has officially arrived and for once, I’m actually excited about it. I usually dread the end of summer since it’s my favorite, but not this year. I’m looking forward to the fall fashion (give me all the sweaters and jackets), festivities, seasonal treats, and cooler temps. With the new season came a desire for change as well, so I decided to chop off my long hair — it was a spontaneous decision. How I know it’s time for a hair cut? When I get too lazy to style it! I’m loving the shorter look for the fall/winter seasons since it’s so much easier to manage now.
Anyways, I put together this really cute outfit, featuring some new pieces that I’m currently loving. I bought this rust button-up top from Marshalls a couple of few weeks ago and thought it would pair well with this gorgeous floral wrap skirt from LulaRoe — it’s a perfect combo, indeed! I finished off the look with a pair of dark olive green heels to complement the floral print on the skirt and opted for my amazing straw hat by Conner Hats and a dainty gold necklace from Muru Jewellery as my main accessory pieces.
I received an amazing package from Conner Hats recently that included some of my favorite designs from the brand and I haven’t stopped swooning since. This straw hat was on the top of my to-get list as I’ve been searching for this type of style to add to my collection for the past few months and couldn’t believe I finally found it! It’s simply stunning!
This hat is beautifully handmade from paper straw and features a round top with a black grosgrain band and a 4″ brim. I really love that this hat has the perfect amount of stiffness, so that it doesn’t flop and keep its shape when worn. The width of the brim is just right — not too big or small, and efficiently provides sun protection, while also looking stylish. This straw hat is so well-made and fairly priced, and is definitely a summer staple. I couldn’t resist and had to include it in this look because it gave such a lovely finishing touch to the outfit.
