I’ve been on a blogging hiatus for the past month as I completely lost interest and desire to be on social media. It was an unexpected break that started off with a little time off from blogging as I was overworking myself with projects and blog posts, then ultimately, I shut down completely (abandoned my laptop and camera) and a few days led to a few weeks to a whole month. I’ve been in the blogging game for almost ten years now and the pressure to constantly create content and post regularly is more intense now than ever and it can be incredibly draining, both mentally and physically. It’s natural, I think, to feel tired, to be uninspired, to lose enthusiasm, especially after doing this for such a long time. Things get crazy and life happens.
After a period of self-reflection that effectively allowed me to realize how much I love blogging, I’ve returned now with a new blog post on my recent summer adventure!
I celebrated my 29th birthday yesterday with my two favorite gals. My sister came down to visit me and we went to a massive sunflower field — something that I have always wanted to do! I had no idea that one even existed in my area. I found this place after doing research for flower fields in my state. There were acres upon acres of stunningly vibrant yellow sunflowers here and it was magnificent and completely worth standing in 90 degree weather to take photos with. 🙂
Some areas had sunflowers that towered over me!
Up close and personal with this beauty.
Thank you so much for reading!
