Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches & Makeup Look

Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette

Oh, honey! I can always count on Urban Decay to drop an exciting product and revive my creativity. Their latest launch is a buzz-worthy, honey inspired eyeshadow palette that’s filled with twelve brand new, delectable golden neutrals. This is my favorite concept so far for the Naked series; you simply can’t go wrong with gold — it’s luxurious and looks good on every skin tone! 🐝 💛

Housed in a luxe gold packaging with a theme-fitting honey swirl design on the cover, the twelve eyeshadows in the Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette ($49.00 for 0.95 g x 12) range from a soft satin cream to a mesmerizing metallic gold to a rich matte brown. The palette also comes with a full-sized mirror and a soft, dual-ended synthetic eye brush.

I was fascinated with the promo photos online, but when I finally saw this palette in person, I was blown away! Photos doesn’t do these eyeshadows justice as they are way more stunning in actuality!

With a variety of versatile hues and finishes, this palette is very well-rounded and perfectly balanced with an overall warm color scheme. Out of the twelve colors, five are mattes with one satiny shade — almost a 50:50 ratio, which is wonderful for a matte lover gal like myself. These colors are luxuriously soft and creamy, and they all swatched effortlessly. I’ve worn half of the colors in this palette so far and have no issues with them in terms of performance — they’re richly pigmented, are super workable, and long wearing. I’m particularly in love with the shimmer and metallic shades in this palette — they are incredibly sparkly and so breathtaking! Do keep in mind that the metallic colors perform best when applied wet if you want to achieve full intensity.

I’ve concluded after trying this palette that it’s now my new favorite from the Naked series (along with the revamped Naked Reloaded Palette). This is definitely a must-buy if you love gold tones and warm hues — it’s simply perfection!

This palette contains the shades:

  • Flyby – satin light cream with a soft sheen
  • Sweet – matte nude
  • Swarm – matte muted peach
  • Amber – metallic dark amber
  • Keeper – matte deep mustard
  • Golden – metallic true gold
  • Honey – bright yellow gold with golden micro-glitters
  • Queen – golden olive with micro-glitters
  • Hive – matte warm medium brown
  • Drip – matte sienna brown
  • HBIC – shimmery copper
  • Sting – matte dark brown

I used my favorite shades from the palette to create this golden cut-crease makeup look. The last time that I did something creative with my makeup was four months ago! I was so inspired by the gorgeous colors in this palette and was reminded of why I love makeup so much — the joy of creating, the artistic process, the final transformation.

I added some crystals on the lower lash lines for a fun and unique touch, and paired the gold eyes with voluminous false lashes and coral lips.

I used the shades:

  • Keeper – Crease
  • Sting – Crease / Lower Lash Line
  • Honey – Inner Corner / Inner Lid
  • Amber – Center Lid
  • Queen – Outer V
  • Drip – Lower Lash Line
  • Flyby – Brow Bone
