I recently added the beautiful Biker Babe Eyeshadow Palette from Velvet 59 to my collection. After trying out their Rose Metals Eyeshadow Palette (read my review here) and being extremely impressed with it, I was eager to test out this new palette, which features nine creamy eyeshadows with two matte shades and seven shimmer shades.
The Biker Babe Eyeshadow Palette ($29.00 for 2 g x 9) has an overall warm color scheme with a bright shimmery fuchsia as the only pop of color among the neutral lineup. There are also two varying pale shimmers with micro-pearls that work beautifully as highlighters for the eyes and face, two matte shades to use as transition colors, and four glimmering shades with various undertones.
From first impressions, I loved the wearable color selection and greatly appreciated the inclusion of the two matte brown shades to accompany all of these shimmer colors; although, I low-key wish there were a few more matte colors thrown into this palette, but that’s just me. All of these eyeshadows swatched beautifully, felt super soft and creamy, and had wonderful payoff — their quality impressed me furthermore once I actually wore them on my eyes. The formulation for both matte and shimmer textures performed excellently as they all applied on smoothly and blended readily. They’re also non-drying, crease-free, and long wearing. I have no complaints or issues with these eye colors — I think they’re absolutely gorgeous. You can certainly create a variety of looks with this palette, from soft glam to a full-blown dramatic smokey eye, these eyeshadows are great for day time or night time.
In addition, the shades Throttle and Frisco Style make great face highlighters as well! If you’re traveling and want to maximize your space, pop this palette in your makeup bag and skip on bringing highlighters as these colors will surely get the job done — they give such a gorgeous luminosity!
