An old trend that has been around for years in the blogging community and one that I will forever find interesting is the What’s In My Bag? post. It’s quite fun to see what people carry around with them and since I’ve been so fixated with these posts lately, I thought I would create one of my own. I updated a few things in my bag recently and am excited to show you the essentials that I carry with me.
Nowadays, I tend to gravitate towards smaller handbags that have a chic and elegant appeal to them. I recently received this beautiful navy blue Teddy Blake handbag and seriously couldn’t be more in love with it. The blue and silver color combo looks wonderful together and makes this bag a great transitional piece that can be worn all year round. It checks off all of my requirements for a handbag and I absolutely adore it. The design and quality is perfection.
I like to carry only the necessities and am obsessed with being organized, which you will soon see. My bag is changed out often depending on the outfit that I wear, but I always keep these items with me.
It wasn’t until recently when I finally understood the purpose of a key pouch. I spoiled myself with a designer card case and wanted to make sure that the case wouldn’t get scratched by my keys when placed in my handbag, so a key pouch seemed like a great idea. I’m glad I bought one. This custom-made leather key pouch from Etsy in my favorite color with my initial on the front is super cute and does the job perfectly at protecting my expensive wallet and handbag from scratches.
Also, color coding my keys with acrylic paint to make them easier and quicker to find was one of the best decisions I’ve made this year! No more of the “right-key-stumble” at the door — yay!
Ah! My spontaneous splurge that I absolutely do not regret. This YSL card case is expensive for such a small item, but it’s so luxurious, beautiful, and well-made. I contemplated over this one and the GG one, but after watching a ton of YT reviews, I went with the YSL in black leather with gold hardware because it seemed more durable. I made the right choice. I don’t have a lot of cards, so the five card slots is perfect for me; it holds everything nicely, doesn’t take up a ton of space in my handbag (which I really appreciate), and makes me feel fancy whenever I use it. LOVE!
I purchased mine from Neiman Marcus.
If you’re on the hunt for a beautiful phone case, I recommend checking out BURGA! They have the most beautiful designs and the quality is fantastic. I dressed my iPhone in the Raspberry Jam style — obsessed with the pink marble!
Storing various items in small pouches help to keep things neat and organized, that way, when I need something, I know exactly where to look. This saves time and keeps my handbag from getting messy.
The orange floral pouch from Etsy contains my feminine products; it’s cute and discreet, and I adore it.
I was on the hunt for a coin case and found this cute one from Coach. It’s bigger than I thought, so I’m planning on getting some tumbled stones to put in it as well, you know, for good vibes.
Late night online browsing led me to finding these amazing Prada sunglasses from Neiman Marcus on sale for only $100! The deal was too good to pass up! This color is sold out, but the same style is available in black and brown (shop here). I’ve been wearing them non-stop ever since I got them.
I ordered a custom leather sunglass case from this Etsy shop; of course it’s pink and is stamped with my name on it. I love small leather goods and all things personalized.
I used the pouch that came with my YSL card case to keep small miscellaneous things in it. I’m very minimal when it comes to carrying makeup in my bag — all I need is a lipstick and either a gloss or lip balm.
What I keep in the little black pouch:
- Tiny notepad and pretty pen in case I need to jot something down
- Personalized mirror compact from Etsy
- Boscia Black Charcoal Blotting Linens for my oily skin
- Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour in 176 Independante
- Paul & Joe Tinted Lip Gloss
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and found some inspiration for organizing your handbag. Thank you for stopping by!
